BREAKING NEWS: BRITISH TRANSPORT POLICE OFFICERS are responding to an incidence at Oxford Tube station in Central London.

Transport For London (TFL) has advised that its a customer incidence while British Transport Police have tweeted that if you are in the area go into a building while they deal with incidence whatever it is.
 
Oxford circus and nearby Bond street station are both out of service at the moment and there is a high police presence including armed Metropolitan and British Transport police response teams at this busier than normal shopping at rush hour on ‘Black Friday’ at Oxford Circus tube station, one of the busiest in London. The police now say they were called around 1635 after reports of shots being fired underground at Oxford Circus tube station. There is no full information yet on this but people are being advised to avoid Oxford Tube Station which has been evacuated with people fleeing originally in panic.
 
London police who have responded as if this is terrorist related, say no casualties have yet been identified in this ongoing incidence and people are reminded if they are on Oxford Street and Regent street to get off the street get in buildings around and stay inside until police have resolved the issue.
 
Incoming news is that Tottenham Court Tube station nearby is also closed though we cannot say if its related to the incidence nearby at Oxford Circus tube station.
 
There are reportedly three fire engines and 15 fire firefighters at the scene, with the street generally deserted, vehicles and buses dumped for safety in the middle of the road.  Oxford street, Bond street and Selfridges and several shops have been evacuated.
